In 1987, Attorney Linda L. Clarke received a Bachelor's of Science Degree from Roger Williams College (now University) in Bristol, Rhode Island. She then attended Southern New England School of Law, graduating in December, 1992. Linda was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in 1993 and shortly thereafter to the United States District Court, District Court of Massachusetts. Not long after, she established her firm, The Law Offices of Linda L. Clarke & Associates, P.C., now known as Clarke Law Offices, located in Swansea, MA. During her career, she has been a member of the American Bar Association, Bristol County Bar Association, and Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. She received the First Justices' Award for Pro Bono Public Excellence; 2013-2017. In addition to providing competent, skilled and reliable legal representation to her clients, she has been serving as a court-appointed conciliator for the Bristol County Probate Court, helping many people through that program.
Linda has decades of experience handling cases in the Bristol and Plymouth County Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts. For the last 30 years, Attorney Clarke has aggressively and effectively represented hundreds of individuals in a variety of divorce and family law matters, personal injury claims and workers' compensation claims. Whether a simple or complex divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, modification of support or parenting plans, parental alienation, fathers’ rights, or grandparents’ rights, adoption or other family law issues, she has handled them all.
Attorney Jerilyn A. Clarke began working for her mother's family law practice immediately following her high school graduation in 1994. She took on many different roles, initially performing mostly secretarial duties to ultimately becoming the office manager and paralegal. While working full-time at the family law office, she attended college on evenings and weekends. Jerilyn graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in 2004, receiving her Bachelor's Degree from the School of Justice Studies. While continuing to work full-time at her mother's family law office, she attended University of Massachusetts School of Law, on evenings and weekends, graduating in January of 2011, Magna Cum Laude. Jerilyn was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in 2011.
Jerilyn has since been a tenacious legal advocate for her clients and has acquired extensive courtroom experience. She has represented hundreds of clients in various types of legal matters, including but not limited to personal injury claims, divorces, child custody, parenting time and support matters, parental alienation matters, paternity actions, separate support actions, post-divorce issues, grandparents' visitation cases, adoptions, name changes, guardianships, conservatorships and other probate court matters, estate planning and the probating of estates.
Attorney Clarke is a member of the Bristol County Bar Association and is well-respected amongst her colleagues and court personnel. She is also a member of the ARC program (Attorney's Representing Children) and has represented many children in divorce and custody cases on a pro bono basis. Attorney Clarke has also served as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem investigator in several cases.
